Sweeney

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing."
2 Timothy 4:7-8

"Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me.

See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.

Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.

The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.

Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me."

Song of Songs 2:10-13

Emmy,

If I was two years old I would be having the biggest tantrum ever! Can I be real here and say that this is SO NOT FAIR!

But then I think about how this is life. Pure and simple. He gives and takes away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.

Still it hurts deeply. I have been hurting as I would pray for them.

Think about this, sweet one, he is celebrating Passover and Good Friday and Easter with his Saviour!

May God and God alone comfort those who grieve and give them peace.

You have been a good friend to them, Emmy. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Emmy - ever since I found about about Sweeney when you and I were in Houston together back in January, I have followed his Caring Bridge site.

I am so very sorry for the family and their loss - and for all of you friends of this precious couple too. It has broken my heart.

I pray that the GLORIOUS promise of the resurrection will comfort Cabell tomorrow in a very special way.

I sure love you,
Jan
